Stokkel is a district on the eastern edge of the Brussels agglomeration. Stokkel is located in the municipalities of Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe, and Kraainem. To the east, the district borders the municipality of Wezembeek-Oppem.
The center of this district is located at Dumonplein in Sint-Pieters-Woluwe. Most of the commercial activities take place in this oval-shaped square, including the weekly market. The district also has its own shopping center, Stockel Square, adjacent to the metro station of the same name. The metro station is characterized by its murals from the comic series Tintin by Hergé and is also the terminus of a Brussels metro line. Stokkel is cut by the regional boundary, which runs one hundred meters east and south of Dumonplein.
