Description by the author

Grez-Doiceau, in the heart of Walloon Brabant. There is a parking space around the church. From the church square, go down the chaussée de Jodoigne, cross the Train and turn left. There, at the front left of the rue du Waux-Hall, the Train path starts. Follow this path, cross a street behind the municipal school and continue to stalk the river. At the footbridge, turn right. Cross the street a little further, diagonally to the right. On the left you leave the valley by the rue de la Sainte du Chêne. From there, the views follow one another, the rural vastness of Walloon Brabant is the theme of this trip. At the intersection with the villa, go straight, at the fork, keep left. In front of you is the wooded hill of Gottechain. Just before that, you leave the main path on the left, a path that climbs with a right-angled turn to the outskirts of Gottechain. Then go back down and at the big crossroads turn left into rue Jules Depauw. Along the open barns and some retro clogs, you slalom in a wide valley of stream. On the horizon, you can already see Bossut waving at the end of the concrete ribbon. On the way, cross only the N25 and go up. In the village, turn right onto the church square, place de Bossut 1. From here you walk another 200 m, to the Mariakapelletje. Here you turn left into Rue de Nethen. Just outside the village, at the fork, you dive directly into a beautiful hollow path, Le Trou des Chiens. At the intersection of the field, keep right. To two mega farms, ruling over fat acres as far as it seems. However, you do not walk to the second farm, but follow the main road, which climbs just after the first, Grand Royal Farm, with a right turn to the N25. Once you have crossed this road, walk straight along the park of Fresnaye Castle 2. Always in the open field, stay at the first X-shaped junction well to the right. At the intersection of the field, turn left. Further to the fork, keep right. In this way you reach the N91, which you cross diagonally to the right. Rue de l'Etang takes you to a dazzling white and rustic farmhouse, one of the many large farms in Nodebais. On the other hand, you choose the downhill Draey street on the right. At the bottom in the bend you leave them on the left, via a beautiful alley of willow pollard, the path of the small Brou. At the end you cross the street, diagonally to the left, then turn right to take the inner road along the fish pond. You will arrive at the village square of Nodebais 3. Rest benches, pond, petanque under plane trees, all that is missing here is a French café terrace. After the breath, turn sharply to the right, in the path Jacotia. It narrows to Church Road for a time, but rises up. In line with this is the path of the Sisters: always straight. At the next crossroads, the imposing farm of Agbiermont sits on the left. Always straight: chemin de la Petite Chapelle, keep left. This "little chapel" further on, the Gosin 4 chapel, is not so small, but unique inside. A feast of earthenware. Decipher especially the inscriptions, with the true story of Marie-Thérèse Gosin (1831), who at the age of five would have led the first stone in her doll cart. Turn right around the chapel and follow the uphill cobblestones on the N91. Cross the road and continue straight. At the first fork, you choose the right and at the next fork, a few steps further, on the left. Continue straight at the intersection of the field. To the southwest, you have a view of the military airfield of Beauvechain. First follow the edge of the forest and then walk on the T in the forest of Beausart on the right. Immediately you turn left into a wide forest road between the beech trees. Just before the edge of the forest, turn right at the fork. More green rolling panoramas. The last open space, before entering rather abruptly into the densely built area of Grez-Doiceau by a hollow road. Just keep going straight down, then you will find this church square.
