Villa Marlier is a country house located near the Großer Wannsee, a lake southwest of Berlin. The house is known from the Wannsee Conference organized by the SS in 1942. After the Second World War, the villa became known as Villa Wannsee.
The villa was built in 1914-15 for the businessman Ernst Marlier. The house with a living area of 1500 m² and the park-like garden of 30,000 m² was designed by Paul Baumgarten, a pupil of Alfred Messel. Ernst Marlier and his wife lived on the Wannsee for only a few years. On September 6, 1921, he sold the house to a firm of the industrialist Friedrich Minoux.
