The Rödermühle is located on the former course of the Große Röder in Saathain, a district of the southern Brandenburg municipality of Röderland.
As the pastor and historian Wolfgang Bastian wrote in 1941 in a letter to the mill owner Weber, the Rödermühle in the settlement of Neusaathain was first listed in a document in the 16th century in fiefdoms of the Saathain lordship. The building was raised to four floors in 1932 and had a storage annex as well as a three-metre-wide bolster with a diameter of 5.5 metres, three wooden wreaths and sheet metal shovels.
