Röderland is a municipality in the Elbe-Elster district of South Brandenburg. It was formed on October 26, 2003, from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities of Haida, Prösen, Reichenhain, Saathain, Stolzenhain, and Wainsdorf of the Röderland office.
Röderland is located on the rivers Schwarze Elster and Große Röder, the latter of which gave its name to the unified municipality. Additionally, the municipal territory is traversed by the Grödel-Elsterwerda timber floating canal, an artificial channel created for the purpose of floating timber between the Elbe and Schwarze Elster, which is considered a historical monument.
