Gélaucourt is a typical Lorraine village, lost in the middle of a hilly and green countryside. It has known many vicissitudes during its history: destruction of its church in 1899, whose bell tower was reinstalled on the roof of the town hall. It even almost disappeared in the years following the last war, victim of the rural exodus. Under the energetic leadership of a local boy, who became the mayor of the village, Gélaucourt has gradually risen from its ruins, cleaned up and revitalized: the result will surprise and delight you. The decor of the village is based on imposing trees, fruit trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals but also vegetables, including many colorful and surprisingly shaped cucurbits.
