Schoonheten is a stylish and distinguished manor. The monumental entrance bridge with its two arches over the castle moat radiates this as well. The house was first mentioned in 1382. The house is moated and there are two semicircular buildings in the forecourt. The current residents are still descendants of the Bentinck family.
