In the heart of Het Groene Woud lies the habitat of the red deer. Especially in the second half of September, it is highly recommended to follow these routes or visit the area. Because then it is the height of the roaring season and therefore the rutting season of the red deer.
More specifically, you should go to De Mortelen (or Paljaart) and partially to De Scheeken.
