El nombre Borlo es de origen germánico y indica que aquí alguna vez debió haber un bosque de hayas. La iglesia de San Pedro (1835) reemplazó a una iglesia de madera de emergencia que se mantuvo casi doscientos años. Si la iglesia está abierta, echa un vistazo a la obra de tabiques en las naves laterales. Muy cerca de la iglesia de Borlo se encuentra la granja Pachthof con una agradable terraza en el patio interior.
