El molino fue mencionado por primera vez en 1379 por escrito. Entonces pertenecía al Castillo de Binderveld. El molino, que funcionaba como molino de grano, fue remodelado en varias ocasiones y el actual edificio del molino, construido en ladrillo, data de 1910. En 1937 se realizó otra remodelación.
La compuerta, la rueda hidráulica metálica y el mecanismo de molido aún están presentes. En 1993, el molino fue protegido como monumento y el entorno como paisaje rural protegido.
