El memorial de guerra en el cementerio junto a la Iglesia de San Mauricio en Varsenare conmemora a las víctimas militares y civiles de la Primera y Segunda Guerra Mundial .

En el pedestal hay una estatua de bronce de San Mauricio , vestido como un soldado romano y apoyado en su espada.

Con motivo de los 100 años de la Primera Guerra Mundial y en memoria de los caídos de esta guerra, se colocó una placa con el texto:

"1914 - 1918 - 2014 - 2018 / LA UNIDAD HACE EL PODER / MEMORIA AGRADECIDA A ELLOS / QUE CAYERON EN LA PRIMERA GUERRA MUNDIAL / POR LA LIBERTAD Y LA DEMOCRACIA, / POR EL VICE PRIMER MINISTRO Y / EL MINISTRO DE DEFENSA DEL PAÍS PIETER DE CREM".
