En esta caminata de un día (21 km) cruzamos las más bellas joyas del Parque Nacional Hoge Kempen: primero el área de vertederos de Eijsden, TerHills (el antiguo Connecterra) con "el mejor panorama de Flandes", luego la reserva forestal de Lanklaarderbos y finalmente la legendaria Heide de Mechelen. Un día completo por caminos sin pavimentar, en silencio y soledad.
También nos familiarizamos con el hermoso patrimonio minero: el barrio de jardinería de Eijsden con la "catedral minera St-Barbara, los pozos de la mina y los edificios mineros de Eisden-Mijn y el Ferrocarril de Carbón Eisden-As.

- Visitamos dos "puertas de entrada" del Parque Nacional: 't Salamanderke en la Heide de Mechelen y TerHills/Connecterra en Eisden-Mijn. Allí también puedes beber y comer algo.
- Salida: café-camping 't Salamanderke a lo largo de la N763 Maasmechelen-As.
