On this day-long hike (21 km) we traverse the most beautiful gems of National Park Hoge Kempen: first the Eisden spoil tip area TerHills (the former Connecterra) with "the most beautiful panorama of Flanders", then the forest reserve Lanklaarderbos and finally the legendary Mechelse Heide. A whole day on unpaved roads, in silence and solitude.
We also get to know the beautiful mining heritage: the Eisden Garden Neighborhood with the "mine cathedral St. Barbara, the mine shafts and mine buildings of Eisden-Mijn and the Coal Trail Eisden-As.

- We visit two "entry points" of the National Park: 't Salamanderke at the Mechelse Hei and TerHills/Connecterra near Eisden-Mijn. There you can also get something to drink and eat.
- Departure: café-camping 't Salamanderke along the N763 Maasmechelen-As.
