El castillo de Westerholt es un castillo de agua en el distrito de Westerholt de Herten, al borde del bosque de Westerholt. La instalación, rodeada de fosos, es hasta hoy la sede ancestral de la familia de condes de Westerholt, que fue mencionada por primera vez en documentos en 1193 y más tarde se llamó "Westerholt a Gysenberg". El castillo de Westerholt, junto con el castillo de Herten, es una de las instalaciones de castillos más importantes en el antiguo Vest Recklinghausen.
