La iglesia de San María en Großenkneten es la iglesia parroquial de la comunidad de la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana de Großenkneten, que pertenece al distrito eclesiástico de Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land de la Iglesia Evangélico-Luterana en Oldenburg.
En Großenkneten probablemente se fundó una iglesia ya en el siglo IX. A través de excavaciones se han encontrado construcciones anteriores de la época antes de 1000 y alrededor de 1300. De las fuentes escritas se puede deducir que existió un edificio de iglesia románica, que fue ampliado en el siglo XV.
