El Katschhof es una hermosa plaza céntrica en Aquisgrán. Su nombre proviene de Kaxhoff, más tarde Kackshoff o Katzhoff, y está relacionado con la ubicación de la antigua picota (“Katz”). Gente de todo el mundo se reunía aquí para comerciar. Su ubicación única entre la catedral y el ayuntamiento de Aquisgrán le da una atmósfera especial.
