Schimborn es desde el 1 de mayo de 1978 parte del mercado de Mömbris en el distrito de Aschaffenburg en el Vorspessart bávaro. La aldea tenía 1595 habitantes en enero de 2022.
Schimborn se encuentra a la izquierda y a la derecha del río Kahl en el medio Kahlgrund, entre Mömbris y Kaltenberg en la carretera estatal 2305. A través del lugar atraviesan el Degenweg, el Camino Mariano Franconio y el Camino en bicicleta Kahltal-Spessart. El punto topográficamente más alto de la localidad se encuentra en el Glasberg, al oeste del pueblo, con 318 m sobre el nivel del mar, el más bajo está en la desembocadura del Reichenbach en el Kahl a 169 m sobre el nivel del mar.
