Los acantilados de Hohenstein en Hessisch Oldendorf son considerados uno de los puntos culminantes en la zona de senderismo de la región occidental de Weserbergland. En este misterioso arrecife de roca de tiempos pasados, los germanos, cheruscos y sajones rendían culto a sus dioses. No te pierdas la vista de los acantilados que caen 50 metros en profundidad, que te harán sentir escalofríos al mirar hacia abajo. Así que es mejor dirigir la vista hacia el horizonte y disfrutar de la magnífica vista sobre el encantador valle del Weser. El punto de partida para esta caminata es el aparcamiento "Baxmannbaude", cerca del cual se encuentra también la taberna del bosque Baxmannbaude en el valle de Blutbach.
