El túnel Roer es un túnel terrestre en la carretera nacional 73. El túnel se abrió al tráfico el 18 de febrero de 2008. Con 2450 metros desde la apertura en 2008, fue el túnel terrestre más largo para el tráfico de automóviles de los Países Bajos. Desde julio de 2020, el túnel Gaasperdammertunnel, con una longitud de 3 kilómetros, es el túnel terrestre más largo para el tráfico de automóviles de los Países Bajos. El túnel Roer consta de dos tubos de túnel, separados por un pasillo de evacuación. En el túnel se establece una velocidad máxima de 100 km/h. Los tubos del túnel están equipados con un sistema de extinción controlado a distancia.
