En la propiedad de 234 hectáreas de Noordhout, que ya estaba arbolada en el siglo XIX, hay algunos campos históricos y se encuentra una monumental casa de caza de 1852. En ese tiempo, el entorno consistía en tierras vírgenes. Una parte de Noordhout está designada como reserva forestal y no es accesible al público. El 8 de octubre de 2013 se inauguró cerca de la casa de caza el Ecoduct Mollebos sobre la autopista A12 y la línea de tren Utrecht - Arnhem.
