El Museo del Traje Tradicional, instalado desde 2004 en el antiguo edificio del Banco de Portugal , en pleno centro histórico, permite descubrir la riqueza etnográfica de los trajes tradicionales de Viana do Castelo.
La colección del museo incluye también utensilios utilizados en la producción de las prendas . Además, existen las exposiciones permanentes “Lana y lino en los trajes de la región del Alto Miño”, “Trajes típicos de Viana” y “El arte de la orfebrería”.
El Museo del Traje también organiza numerosas exposiciones temporales sobre el tema de los trajes tradicionales y la etnografía de Viana do Castelo.
