Le chemin de haute altitude côtoyant la partie sud du massif de Karwendel a la particularité de proposer un riche changement de perspectives : ici, une vue ouvrant sur la vallée pleine d’agitation de l’Inntal, là un plongeon sur l’univers montagneux solitaire du Karwendel. L’itinéraire représente 7 000 mètres de dénivelé (3 400 mètres à la montée) et côtoie aussi bien les hautes vallées et alpages qui incitent à la contemplation, que les régions abruptes des sommets du plus grand parc naturel autrichien.
