Châtelet est une ville de Belgique située en Région wallonne dans la province de Hainaut. Depuis la fusion des communes de 1977, la ville de Châtelet regroupe Bouffioulx, Châtelet et Châtelineau. Toutefois, les identités propres à ces trois communes sont restées importantes. Il est donc fréquent d'entendre les gentilés respectifs : Bouffaloniens , Châtelettain et Castelinois.
