Selon la légende, cinq sorcières ont été brûlées à Elzele en 1610. En mémoire de ces âmes condamnées, le sabbat des sorcières a lieu chaque année le dernier samedi de juin. La place et les rues du centre regorgent de sorcières, de musiciens diaboliques, de comédiens, de loups-garous et d’autres personnages mystérieux.
