La nature à petite échelle l'emporte sur le Kesterheide et ses environs. Cette "montagne" a été sculptée par des générations d'habitants, qui ont aussi compris qu'il faisait bon y être. Avec ses 112 mètres, elle domine le Pajottenland. C'est une balise et un point de repère dans le paysage vallonné. Depuis l'homme de fer, on a une belle vue sur Bruxelles et sur les églises paroissiales de certains villages environnants comme Leerbeek, Kester et, plus loin, Heikruis. Au nord se trouve le Lombergveld avec la forêt de Lomberg. Vous passerez devant le centre éducatif Paddenbroek, un endroit magnifique où vous trouverez des arbres fruitiers, des haies et de nombreux éléments du paysage.
