Départ du centre culturel de l'abbaye d'Affligem. Cette abbaye est l'un des phares les plus importants de la région. C'est la seule abbaye bénédictine flamande encore habitée par des bénédictins près de 1 000 ans après sa fondation. Au pied de l'abbaye, quelques champs de houblon témoignent encore du riche passé houblonnier de la région. La promenade vous fera également traverser la réserve naturelle Doments Broek et passer devant la légendaire Kluiskapel.

Veillez à porter des chaussures de marche robustes ou des bottes, car la promenade peut être assez boueuse.
