Est-ce le paysage qui a inspiré au compositeur August De Boeck (1865-1937) ses mélodies élégantes et parfois rêveuses ? Son village natal de Merchtem ? Quoi qu'il en soit, il était un maître de l'art tonal et une figure villageoise bien-aimée. Cette promenade passe par des bâtiments et des lieux qui ont joué un rôle dans la vie du poète. Arrêt obligatoire : le musée August De Boeck dans l'ancienne maison du directeur du village.

Cette promenade est proposée par Tourisme Brabant flamand et la commune de Merchtem.
