Le gouverneur Marie de Hongrie, sœur de l’empereur Charles Quint, fait construire une nouvelle ville fortifiée en 1542 : Mariembourg. Elle a aussi obtenu son nom. Mariembourg avait la réputation d’être imprenable, mais déjà en 1554, le roi Français Henri II la prit, obligeant Charles Quint à construire une nouvelle forteresse. Ce serait Philippeville. Avec ce tour à vélo, vous découvrirez ces deux villes historiques (villes). Et vous pouvez également profiter d’un magnifique RAVeL.
