Pulsnitz est une ville de Saxe , située dans l'arrondissement de Bautzen, dans le district de Dresde, en Haute-Lusace. Sa population était de 7 467 habitants au 31 décembre 2018. La ville est connue pour son fameux pain d'épices ce qui lui vaut le sobriquet de Pfefferkuchenstadt.
La commune de Pulsnitz comprend, outre Pulsnitz, les villages suivants: Friedersdorf, Friedersdorf Siedlung et Oberlichtenau . La ville de Pulsnitz est divisée en trois secteurs: Pulsnitz-centre, Pulsnitz-Vollung et Meissner Seite . Enfin Pulsnitzdorf est situé non loin de la rivière Pulsnitz.
