Le nouvel hôtel de ville de la ville de Bocholt a été conçu par l’architecte Gottfried Böhm, lauréat du prix Pritzker. Outre l’administration, le bâtiment classé abrite également la salle du conseil municipal, les salles de réunion des groupes parlementaires municipaux et le théâtre municipal d’environ 700 places.
Depuis 1997, un bureau citoyen est situé en mezzanine, et une antenne du quartier Borken est également hébergée dans la mairie. Lors de la rénovation complète et de la rénovation de l’hôtel de ville à partir de février 2020, les bureaux ont été logés dans d’autres bâtiments de la zone urbaine.
