Appartenant au Système ibérique, il présente une orientation catalane, parallèle à la ligne de côte et reculée à l'intérieur de la province de Castellón, entre les régions de l'Alcalatén et de la Plana Alta.
Il est délimité géographiquement par le Barranc de la Valltorta au nord, le couloir des Coves à l'est, le Pla de l'Arc au sud et le couloir pré-littoral d'Albocàsser où coule le ruisseau Carbonera à l'ouest. Nous trouvons les plus grandes altitudes à 1 078 msnm et à 951 mètres au Tossal de la Vila.
