La Waver est un petit fleuve dans la province néerlandaise de Hollande-Septentrionale, qui se jette dans l'Amstel. La rivière constitue la frontière sud et est de la commune d'Ouder-Amstel et la frontière nord-ouest de De Ronde Venen. Elle marque également la frontière entre les provinces de Hollande-Septentrionale et d'Utrecht. Au-delà du Stokkelaarsbrug, la Waver s'appelle la Oude Waver. Le hameau Waver est situé sur la rive droite de la Waver. Pour le trafic, il y a trois ponts : le Stokkelaarsbrug, le Waverbrug et, près du Fort Waver-Amstel, le Jac.G. Keabrug.
