St. Jakob in Haus è il comune più piccolo del distretto di Kitzbühel e si trova nella valle di Piller, che si dirama da Fieberbrunn. Il comune, di quasi dieci chilometri quadrati, comprende oltre al piccolo villaggio con la chiesa del villaggio diversi nuclei, tra cui Moosbach e Mühlau che sono cresciuti in insediamenti più grandi. A questi si aggiungono numerose fattorie isolate distribuite sul territorio.
