La malga originale Falbesoner Ochsenalm a 1.830 è immersa in una conca nella valle posteriore dello Stubai a metà strada tra Falbeson e il rifugio Neue Regensburger Hütte (2.286 metri). La malgara Maridl Schmid, che ha preso la malga dalla sua madre e la gestisce dal 2005 insieme allo zio, offre ai suoi ospiti cibo di malga come per esempio speck con uova, squisito formaggio grigio fatto in casa, burro o ricotta, Kaiserschmarren o l'originale Käsestriezel dello Stubai.
La malga Falbesoner Ochsenalm è raggiungibile in circa 1,5 ore a piedi. Il sentiero parte dalla valle posteriore dello Stubai poco prima della frazione di Neustift Falbeson, la macchina si può lasciare al parcheggio del Waldcafé. Una strada forestale e un sentiero portano alla malga.
