Partendo dalla stazione di Wezemaal (lavori fino a metà 2025!) attraverserai prima un quartiere residenziale per poi collegarti al percorso GR sulla Wijgaardberg dopo circa un chilometro. Dopodiché cammineremo nel tratto centrale lungo splendidi sentieri campestri, verso la Chiesa di Gelrode per riprendere il GR dalla km 8,5 fino alla stazione di Aarschot. Fai attenzione qui alla fine, perché la scala che scende dalla Kouterberg può essere molto scivolosa. La parte centrale del percorso si avvicina nel sud all'autostrada e potrebbe avere un punteggio di silenzio basso (a seconda di come soffia il vento)
