Aspach è composta da quattro villaggi, un tempo indipendenti: Großaspach, Kleinaspach, Allmersbach e Rietenau. Nel 1972, i 4 villaggi unirono le forze sotto il nome di Aspach. I villaggi furono fondati tra il 950 a.C. e il 1150 a.C. Rietenau ospita sorgenti naturali ed era un famoso stabilimento termale fino all'inizio del 1900. L'acqua di Rietenau è ancora imbottigliata oggi. Il villaggio principale, Großaspach, è il luogo di nascita di Hans Werner Aufrecht, co-fondatore di AMG Engine Production and Development, più comunemente conosciuto come AMG, così come il significato della "G" nel nome. È comunemente scambiato per essere la prima sede dell'azienda, ma nessun ufficio, fabbrica o centro di ricerca AMG è mai stato situato lì - tranne per il garage, dove Aufrecht e Melcher iniziarono a sintonizzare auto e motori.
