Il Kleist-Theater era un'opera e teatro inaugurato nel 1945 a Francoforte. Fu intitolato nel 1952 al suo figlio più famoso, lo scrittore Heinrich von Kleist. Nel 2000 l'istituzione comunale chiuse.
Dal 1840 al 1842, al Wilhelmsplatz 22, fu costruito un teatro secondo i progetti di Karl Friedrich Schinkel dal direttore edilizio Emil Flaminius, che fu inaugurato il 1° novembre 1842 con l'opera Zar e Zimmermann di Lortzing e da allora ospitò il teatro municipale di Francoforte. Il teatro disponeva originariamente di 800 posti, successivamente reduci a 609. Nella primavera del 1945 fu distrutto da bombe.
