Skassa è una frazione della grande città di Großenhain nel distretto di Meißen in Sassonia, con attualmente 253 abitanti. Skassa fu menzionata per la prima volta nel 1190 come Zcassowe, nel 1205 come Schassowe e nel 1261 come Scassowe, nel 1350 come castrum Sc[h]assowe e nel 1711 come Sckassa.
Großenhain si trova nel distretto settentrionale di Meißen, direttamente al punto di incrocio dell'ex Via Regia e dell'ex strada salina sassone alla Großen Röder, mentre la località di Skassa si trova a circa 2 km a ovest del centro di Großenhain, nel punto in cui il fiume si dirige verso nord.
