Schimborn è dal 1 maggio 1978 una parte del comune di Mömbris nel distretto di Aschaffenburg nella parte bavarese del Vorspessart. Il paese aveva 1595 abitanti a gennaio 2022.
Schimborn si trova a sinistra e a destra del fiume Kahl nel medio Kahlgrund, tra Mömbris e Kaltenberg lungo la strada statale 2305. Attraverso il paese passano il Degen-Weg, il Sentiero mariano francone e il Kahltal-Spessart-Radweg. Il punto più alto della delimitazione del paese si trova al Glasberg, a ovest del paese, a 318 m s.l.m., mentre il punto più basso si trova all'imbocco del Reichenbach nel Kahl a 169 m s.l.m.
