Moustiers-Sainte-Marie è conosciuta per la faïence. Questa è una ceramica speciale. La ceramica di Moustiers è caratterizzata dalla sua decorazione smaltata. Un monaco di Faenza in Italia insegnò a un ceramista locale, Pierre Clérissy, nel 1668 il segreto orientale per la produzione di ceramica stannifera. Nacque una tradizione. La vera produzione iniziò solo nel 1689 con porcellana bianca e blu. Intorno al 1710 nacque la decorazione Berain. Iniziarono i tempi d'oro.
