Dalla cima della collina di Saint Martial si può ammirare il villaggio di Châteauponsac, la Perla della Gartempe. Questo incantevole villaggio della regione dell'Haut Limousin si estende davanti a voi, arroccato sul suo sperone roccioso. Da qui è possibile scorgere il Faubourg du Moustier, il quartiere emblematico di Châteauponsac, situato a sud della chiesa di Saint Thyrse, che lo sovrasta, e i giardini terrazzati, un tempo coltivati, ai piedi dei quali si trova il fiume Gartempe.
