Colchester è la più grande località del borgo di Colchester nella contea dell'Essex in Inghilterra, a est della Grande Londra. Sorge sul fiume Colne e contava una popolazione di 121 859 abitanti al censimento del 2011.
Colchester ospita un famoso castello , il Colchester United Football Club e l'University of Essex, dove vengono organizzati campi-scuola estivi.
