Lobith è un villaggio nel comune di Zevenaar nella provincia olandese di Gelderland. Si trova al confine tedesco e vicino al Reno.

Lobith è stato menzionato già all'inizio del XIII secolo come dogana dei conti di Gheldria. In un documento datato marzo 1222, l'imperatore Federico II autorizza il conte Gerardo di Gheldria a trasferire la dogana del Reno da Arnhem a Lobith. Poiché l'arcivescovo di Colonia si opponeva a questo trasferimento, l'autorizzazione fu ribadita dall'imperatore in un ulteriore documento nel marzo dello stesso anno. Successivamente, anche l'arcivescovo Engelberto I di Colonia confermò per iscritto il suo consenso a questo trasferimento a Lobith. Lobith divenne in seguito importante anche per il controllo delle dogane della navigazione fluviale sul Reno.
