Fort Hedikhuizen è una ex fortezza che in passato doveva proteggere il vicino taglio (un buco nella diga per l'inondazione). Se oggi vuoi arrivare alla fortezza, devi ancora letteralmente passare attraverso quel buco. Per fortuna non ci sono più soldati. Il cancello è stato restaurato in questo secolo e ha lo status di monumento nazionale. L'edificio del XIX secolo si trova ancora in quasi stato originale. È anche una location speciale per matrimoni e feste.
