Kruibeke is een plaats en gemeente in het noordoosten van de Belgische provincie Oost-Vlaanderen, en is gelegen in het Waasland. De gemeente telt ruim 16.000 inwoners, die Kruibekenaars worden genoemd. Kruibeke ligt tussen de rivier Schelde en de autosnelweg E17.Kruibeke hoort bestuurlijk tot het arrondissement Sint-Niklaas, gerechtelijk tot het arrondissement Dendermonde . De kiesindeling is kanton en district Temse, arrondissement Sint-Niklaas - Dendermonde.
