Landschappen, bossen en kastelen. Niets laat vermoeden dat dit prachtige bos in Beernem tot de 18de eeuw een desolate heidevlakte was. Graaf Henri de Meeus liet er een eeuw later een kasteel optrekken en het ruige 'Bulnas Campas' ontginnen. In 1904 kwam het landgoed in het bezit van de adellijke familie Lippens, die het omringende kasteelpark liet aanleggen. Sedert 1970 is dit een provinciaal domein (327 ha).
