Van op deze zitbank kijk je uit op een kreek.

De Gauwelozekreek (ook vaak Gouwelozekreek genoemd) is een historische kreek in het Oostends Krekengebied, op de grens van Oostende, Oudenburg en Gistel. Ze ontstond in de 16e en 17e eeuw toen de zee het polderland overspoelde tijdens de militaire conflicten rond het Beleg van Oostende.

Vandaag maakt de kreek deel uit van een waardevol natuur- en recreatiegebied.
