Het Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museum is het hoofdgebouw van de Kunstmusea Krefeld, waarvan de nadruk ligt op kunst uit de tweede helft van de 20e eeuw. Het gebouw werd in 1899 ingewijd en is als monument van de stad Krefeld beschermd.
Al in 1872 stelde de Krefeldse architect Hugo Koch voor om, in plaats van een standbeeld voor keizer Wilhelm I, een museum te bouwen. Echter, de tijd was nog niet rijp voor dergelijke ideeën, en zo werd er nog tijdens het leven van de keizer een sculptuur opgericht, die op 27 juni 1880 in de stads tuin aan de St.-Anton-Straat werd onthuld. In de Tweede Wereldoorlog vernietigden bommen de bronzen sculptuur.
