Het Universitair Algemeen Ziekenhuis van Elda Virgen de la Salud bevindt zich aan de Carretera d'Elda naar Saix s/n., gelegen op de hellingen van de bergketen Torreta. Het biedt diensten aan de regio's Vinalopó Mitjà, Alt Vinalopó en Foia de Castalla.
Het is een van de regionale ziekenhuizen die door Insalud werden gepromoot voordat de Gezondheidswet werd goedgekeurd. De bouw begon rond 1977. Het werd ingehuldigd door de toenmalige Minister van Gezondheid, Ernest Lluch Martín.
