Ely is een stad in het oosten van Engeland gelegen op ongeveer 23km ten noordoosten van Cambridge. Ely staat vooral bekend om zijn eeuwenoude status als kathedraalstad en daar doet de schoonheid van de huidige Ely Cathedral alle eer aan. Daarnaast kan in Ely ook het huis van Oliver Cromwell teruggevonden worden dat nog heel goed bewaard gebleven is. De wandeling neemt je mee langsheen al deze en andere bezienswaardigheden zodat de geest en het karakter van de stad ten volle kan aanschouwd worden en een daguitstap Ely geen verloren moeite bleek te zijn.
